On Saturday it was Sarah and Jason’s wedding! Neither of us can believe that it has finally happened after all of the planning, and they are actually married!
It was a really beautiful ceremony down at Clontarf beach – there was a bit of drama because it started to drizzle just as we were about to start so we had to wait a few minutes, then the ring got dropped in the sand leading to a stressful few minutes combing the beach. We also had some dramas with the PA equipment before the ceremony, but luckily Tom and Rory came to the rescue 🙂
Despite the stress beforehand, the ceremony was beautiful and went smoothly – mum did a great job as the celebrant, and there was even a sand ceremony.
Jacs was maid of honour and looked beautiful (as they all did). Sarah looked stunning, and it was great to see everyone so happy.
After the ceremony, the bridal party all hopped on a boat and had some photos while the rest of us rushed over to Middle Harbour Yacht Club for the reception. I was the MC, so got straight to work doing my best to make it a great reception. I’m pretty sure everyone had a great night – I certainly did. One of the highlights was definitely when Rory and I got together and decided it would be awesome to get the best man, Stu, and Jason up with the band to rap to Tupac and Snoop Dogg – a performance they perfected as kids, despite being country boys. It was awesome, and we have it all on footage!!
Sarah and Jase head overseas on Thursday for their one year honeymoon, so we’re really going to miss them. Luckily, we’re crashing the honeymoon when we meet up with them in Greece in July.
Congratulations guys! We’re so excited for you and can’t wait to see you soon.
