Hi everyone! We can’t believe it, but the wedding is finally the day after tomorrow, and we’re both super excited for it. It’s been a busy couple of weeks doing all of the final preparations and getting the house ready. Thanks so much to everyone that has been helping out – you know who you are 🙂 It’s going to be an awesome weekend.
Other than wedding preparations, over the past few weeks, friends from overseas have started to arrive, so we’ve had a great time catching up with them. Its been a full house here! Two weeks ago we had our good friend’s, Byron and Kasey and Rory and Nat, come and stay, and we all headed to Vegas for the night with Bubba and Christy, Vikkee and Kev, and Jacs’ good friend’s Jess and Michael. We stayed at the New York New York and had an awesome time. During the day we lazed by the pool and had a few drinks, then had a real american dinner at Hard Rock Cafe before heading to the Bank, which is the club at the Bellagio. Jacs’ Uncle Michael had kindly called a friend of his that was the manager there, so we skipped the queue and didn’t have to pay a cover charge, and were let into the VIP area. It was an excellent night!
The next morning we hung out by the pool a little more, before Jacs and I hopped in Rory’s convertible Mustang to cruise back to LA – him and Nat were flying to Mexico and needed to get the car to LA to return it. It was fun with the top down on the freeway 🙂 Check out the photos in our gallery!
The past few days we’ve just been hanging out around Pasadena with my family (except Keiren, who flies in tonight), Nix, and Lara – a close friend from Sydney. Tonight, lots more friends will have arrived so we’ll have a night out catching up with them, and then tomorrow is our rehearsal! Crazy!!
In other exciting news, this morning I did my driving test and passed – PHEW!! So I’m now a licensed California Driver 🙂
After the wedding, we’re heading up to Santa Barbara for a few days with some friends, before coming back to Pasadena for Al’s graduation from high school (Congrats!!!), and then flying to Peru for our honeymoon – 7 weeks in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. We can’t wait – it is going to be so awesome.
Look forward to seeing a lot of you this weekend!
Lots of love
Ben and Jacs
ps. For those of you that made it to the end of the post, here is a photo that our wedding photographer, Mark Bassam, took for us in Old Town Pasadena recently. Can’t wait to see the wedding photos – we’ll post some as soon as we can 🙂
